Dr. Andrea Zimmerman, O.D., FAAO, is an experienced optometrist with over 36 years of service in eye care. A graduate of SUNY College of Optometry, she completed her residency at the esteemed Lighthouse International (now Lighthouse Guild) in New York City, where she continues to practice. Dr. Zimmerman specializes in low vision, primary care, and contact lenses, and is dedicated to helping patients of all ages improve their vision and quality of life. A Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a former Assistant Clinical Professor at SUNY College of Optometry, she has lectured and published extensively in the field. Her background includes training optometry and ophthalmology residents, and she remains committed to excellence in clinical care. Dr. Zimmerman speaks some Spanish and Russian and loves connecting with new people every day.
